The Nominations Committee met on 30 June 2025 and, after reviewing the Policy, Regulation, and Net Zero NED role, unanimously recommended that Rosa be re-appointed for a further two-year term. The RECCo Board has endorsed this recommendation, with the proposed new term to run from 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2027.
In accordance with Clause 5.9(b) of the Retail Energy Code (REC), a vote of REC Parties must now be held within three months of the Nomination Committee’s recommendation to confirm this re-appointment.
Please cast your vote here by 5pm on 15 September 2025 to approve or decline this appointment.
Why this matters
The REC introduced a new approach to code governance in the energy sector, establishing an independent RECCo Board made up of a Chair and NEDs. Together, they provide knowledge, experience, and challenge to support the delivery of the REC mission and benefit the community.
NEDs act as the Board’s first line of accountability, appraising performance, scrutinising delivery, and guiding the Executive team.
A message from the Chair of the Nominations Committee
As Chair of the Board’s Nominations Committee, I’m pleased to report that the Nominations Committee, supported by the Board, have invited Rosa Rotko to continue in her role as NED of RECCo for a further term of office.
As the move towards net zero accelerates, and with the prospect of RECCo becoming a regulated entity, it’s important that there’s continuity in the organisation over the crucial next few years, and Rosa’s re-appointment for a further two-year term will help provide this.
On behalf of the Board, Hannah Nixon joins the Nominations Committee in recommending Rosa’s reappointment to you.
Helen Charlton, Chair of the Nominations Committee
