RECCo’s Stakeholder Strategy Workshop in December

On 11th January 2022 RECCo Board published its strategy, forward work plan for 2022- 2025, and associated financial projection, open for consultation until the closing date of 1st February 2022.

RECCo was pleased to invite REC Parties and industry stakeholders to our strategy event that took place December 15th 2021. The purpose of this session was to update and seek stakeholder views on the focus areas of RECCo’s upcoming Forward Work Plan ahead of the 2022/2023 consultation.

Our event was chaired by RECCo’s Rachael Anderson, Director of Corporate Affairs, who launched our event following an address from Chris Anastasi, RECCo’s Board Chair, on reflections over the past year and looking ahead. We heard from Elizabeth Lawlor, the Executive Director of Operations and Transformation, about REC services and RECCo’s approach to effective and high quality service delivery. Then, Andrew Wallace, RECCo’s Switching Programme Implementation Project Manager, talked us through the preparations we have in place for REC V3.0 and CSS go-live. This session was very engaging and generated questions and comments from the audience.

Next was a highly anticipated session from the REC Code Manager, with a panel of experts that informed the audience of the next steps on their service delivery and highlighted the key improvements on their programmes. The speakers included Sarah Gratte,  Rebecca Mottram and Rosalind Timperley.

Jon Dixon, the Executive Director of RECCo’s Development and Strategy also gave a presentation on RECCo’s proposed three-year road map. Following an insightful analysis of RECCo’s future strategy, our delegates broke into two rooms, where we run parallel sessions to generate debates on two topics including Priority Service Register (PSR) enhancements and Supplier of Last Resort (SoLR) and market resilience. The sessions were moderated by Suchitra Hammond, our Senior Strategy Manager, and Jenny Smith, RECCo’s Energy Market Strategy Advisor. At the end of the event, our attendees had the opportunity to use our networking feature, meeting and exchanging business e-cards.

We used the feedback collected from the workshop to inform our Strategy and Forward Work Plan 2022-2025 which will be published in the next few days. You can visit our event page to access the agenda, key-points from our break-out sessions, speaker presentation files, Q&As and the recordings of the day.
