Join our webinar: Introducing new Change of Tenancy rules to the Non-domestic Energy market

We conducted several workshops with non-domestic suppliers and brokers earlier this year to gain insight into the challenges they faced in the energy market. One of the main issues that emerged was the possible misuse of the Change of Tenancy flag and objection process, which is detrimental to consumers.  This was consistent with Ofgem’s findings from its review of the non-domestic market, available on its website: Non-domestic market review: Findings and Policy consultation | Ofgem

Considering the workshop feedback and discussions with Ofgem, we have developed a potential solution based on the recognisable standards of documentary evidence of a Change of Tenancy (CoT).  Our objective is to introduce clear guidelines and documentation that can be used to prove that there has been a change of tenancy at an address, which must be accepted by the incumbent supplier.

Join us at a webinar on Tuesday, October 24th, where we will hear from external speakers about the impact of objections on non-domestic consumers, present a summary of our proposed solution and provide you with an opportunity to give your feedback.

Your input will help shape the final proposals before we seek to give effect to them in the Retail Energy Code.

The webinar will take place on Tuesday, 24th October, from 1 – 3 pm. There will be a chance for feedback and a Q&A session during the webinar.
