How we support families at RECCo

The 15th of May marks the International Day of Families. The United Nations promote the day to raise awareness of issues faced by families worldwide and highlight how important family units are. As we’re currently recruiting, we thought we’d celebrate the day by writing about how we support families at RECCo.

Are you thinking of growing your family?

We’re proud to offer enhanced parental leave and pay so our employees can spend more time with their newest family member without worrying about finances. In the UK, statutory maternity pay is only 90% of the mother’s average weekly earnings for the first six weeks of leave. Comparatively, we offer full pay for the first six months after the baby is born and half pay for the six months thereafter.

 Health and wellbeing

All employees can join our private health insurance scheme with Bupa, with the option to add immediate family members to their plan. Private health insurance means you and your family can access care quickly, often with shorter waiting lists and times. Our cover also includes access to a digital GP service, mental health support and a choice of private hospitals.

The option to purchase more holiday days

We offer a holiday buy-and-sell scheme. All full-time employees can purchase an additional five days of holiday on top of their base allowance of 25 days plus bank holidays. This means colleagues can spend more time with family – whether travelling abroad or staying home.

Life insurance

Nobody wants to consider the absolute worst happening. However, our generous life insurance provides a financial buffer during a difficult time, allowing employees to nominate a partner, dependents or extended family to receive four times their annual salary in the event of death in service.

Employee Assistance Programme

Our employee assistance programme, LifeWorks, is a scheme that helps our employees overcome personal issues, both inside and outside of work. The EAP can help with financial problems, legal concerns, health and safety, work-related topics and family matters. The programme also offers a perk website with retail discounts our colleagues and their family can enjoy.

A competitive salary and annual bonus

We know that salary is often the primary source of income our employees use to support their families daily. Therefore, all our salaries are competitive and regularly benchmarked against the market, and we offer an annual bonus scheme as an additional financial benefit.
