This month we’re starting a new project to map all energy theft processes from start to finish. This will allow us to pinpoint handover points and provide market participants with a comprehensive overview – both upstream and downstream of their own internal processes.
The map will also highlight any gaps in processes, obligations, or guidance that may need to be addressed. For instance, certain processes may require action from REC organisations and beyond but lack a clear responsibility or incentive to do so.
How can REC Parties get involved?
Share your processes
We’re asking REC Parties to share their theft process documentation to feed into the process mapping. The more information we receive, the more comprehensive the process maps will be.
Submit your processes by emailing technicalenquiries@recmanager.co.uk by 17:00 on the 24th of July 2023.
Join one of our workshops
We’re also hosting two workshops on the 31st of July, 2023 and the 1st of August, 2023. At these events, we’ll share the draft process maps and ask for your feedback. In addition, attendees will be invited to flag specific areas where they feel there are potential areas of low industry awareness, responsibility and incentive gaps, or performance assurance monitoring and reporting gaps.
Register for the workshop by emailing technicalenquiries@recmanager.co.uk by 17:00 on the 24th of July, 2023.
