About our role: What you’ll be doing

You will play a pivotal role in translating strategic and operational needs into clear, robust service requirements to support the Code Manager service. Working closely with RECCo’s project team and subject matter experts, you will drive out service definitions, support sourcing and procurement activity, and ensure readiness for implementation, working across multiple outsourced functions and RECCo-led responsibilities.

Your day-to-day

  • Lead the definition, refinement, and documentation of service requirements, KPIs, roles, responsibilities, and interfaces across key Service Provider functions.
  • Develop and maintain end-to-end service and process models, including value chain mapping and integration points between RECCo, service providers, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate structured workshops with internal teams and external parties to validate, refine, and finalise service and process requirements.
  • Support procurement activities, including preparing input for change requests, sourcing documents, and supporting evaluation processes.
  • Contribute to the development of governance, oversight, and performance management frameworks to underpin future service delivery.
  • Maintain robust traceability between current operational processes (e.g., LWIs, User Guides) and new or evolving requirements.
  • Assist in defining future service oversight and assurance models to ensure quality, risk management, and accountability.
  • Support contingency planning activities for key service areas, contributing to the development of fallback options as needed.
  • Produce high-quality documentation and analysis to support internal decision-making, governance processes, and executive reporting.
  • Work flexibly across a portfolio of workstreams, adapting to shifting priorities and ensuring delivery against project timelines.

About you: What you'll bring

  • Considerable experience as a Business Analyst within regulatory, market governance, or assurance environments.
  • Experience defining and documenting end-to-end business processes, service requirements, KPIs, and controls.
  • Experience developing and reviewing procurement documents and detailed requirements to support procurement activities.
  • Strong understanding of risk management, assurance processes, or compliance frameworks in energy, utilities, or other regulated markets.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and organisations, managing complex stakeholder environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with ambiguity and drive clarity.
  • Excellent documentation and presentation skills, with experience producing requirements packs and procurement documents.
  • Highly organised, with experience maintaining detailed project artefacts and supporting structured governance processes.
  • Comfortable working with digital service providers and understanding system/data integration points.

Ideally you’ll also have

  • Knowledge of the Retail Energy Code framework and obligations.
  • Understanding of major change programmes like MHHS (Market-wide Half Hourly Settlement) would be beneficial.
